Well in the past 2 pve previews, it's been an option. Seeing as the end of this month is close to release I'm fairly certain that we will get full access to both male and females.

We also got to play both genders of Rts and assassins in the factions preview. Though the artwork should be close enough to finished for both now for that to be possible.

I just checked guildwars.com and the login screen. Its not on eaither of them. I do remember some people guessing that thats when the preview would be, but they were only guessing.

The PCGamer with the minipet says that thats when the event will be. I'm just guessing that this will be the correct date, because it also tells you exactly what quest and who to talk to, to receive the minipet. It also says that you can redo the quest if you get your minipet during the preview event.
Seems like a lot to know about a preview event, to just be a guess on the magazines part.

There is a minipet that you can get during the event? Or is it the one that you need the magazine for?
And anyone know if we can finally be a female paragon or a male dervish?

It's the one included with the magazine. I would assume you can be female Paragon and male Dervish as they were both at GWFC(I think..) so they should be ready and there's no reason they wouldn't be available.

ummm, I've never participated in any of the PvE Preview Events before. What exactly does it let you do? You start the game and.... does your account save the data and you can resume wherever when Nightfall is officially released?

The preview lets you experience a sort of cross-section of the game. Play around a bit, see the sites, and get a feel for it. If you don't delete your character, you can resume play with it when you buy the retail version of Nightfall but it will be reset to lvl 1. Also keep in mind you will only be able to make new Elonian characters, can't take existing characters over for the preview. During the preview, you can't access storage and all items/gold you aquire will be deleted.

Is the event for the PCGamer readers only, or for everyone ?

Yep and they got a lot of bad feedback about it. I don't think they will do that type of thing again.. and even if they do I can start working out my builds and work of PvE strategies.

For the Prophecies beta, all that got saved was my name. My character was reset to level 1 and lost all armor/skills/etc.
Even if we do start at level 1, any progress you make will mean pretty much nothing at the end of the event.

Except of course for Skill and Item unlocks. Oh and finding out what materials will be used for the new class armors.

Its always level 20 for PvE beta events and I do not think it will change.
The preview will show mainland and not the "pre sear, biggener area"
Mobs are hard there and thats why we need to be level 20.
